For the next week or so we will be bringing you a few images of our journey to Tiritiri Matangi to film nature.

Tiritiri Matangi (or Tiri as it is affectionately known by locals) is a rare offshore wildlife sanctuary which allows the public to visit and even stay overnight. Here you can get up close and personal with some rare species, including Kiwi and Tuatara!

We have some fabulous photos of native birds to share with you. Unfortunately we did not obtain any images of Kiwi, Tuatara or Kokako. We must go back for these!

This image shows a typical view over the bush on Tiri. This bush was all planted within the last 50 years by volunteers, so it is immature. This scene is dominated by Cabbage trees (Cordyline australis).
